The wheelchair and crutches are a thing of the past for Carolyn Exelby, 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl V. Exelby of 212 Oakwood Ave., Ypsilanti. Carolyn was stricken with the county's first polio case of 1951 one year ago today. She is shown dressed in the uniform of the Ypsilanti Girls Drum and Bugle Corps.
