Buck Holt Escapes From Federal School

YPSILANTI—Buck Holt, of this city, committed by the federal government to the National Training school in Washington, D. C. following his conviction on a charge of auto theft, has escaped from that institution and is being south by federal officials, according to a notice received by the local police departments. Holt was convicted of having stolen an automobile owned by E. B. Freatman, of this city, and of driving it to Illinois.

On March 8, 1935, Holt attained wide publicity when he discovered the body of seven-year-old Richard Streicher, with 14 knife wounds in the head and chest, concealed beneath a footbridge over a tributary of the Huron river here. The slaying of the Streicher child has never been solved.
