William L. Marshall, 77, died this morning at his home, 1942 Cambridge Rd., after an illness of several months.
Born at Great Valley, N. Y., Dec. 25, 1865, he was a retired New York Central railway locomotive engineer and held a merit certificate for years of service. After his retirement in 1936, he moved to Ann Arbor from Cleveland, O.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie; three sons, Claire B. of North Kingsville, O., Donald W. of Ann Arbor and Lester L. of Quebec, Canada; one brother, James B. of Conneaut, O.; and one sister, Mrs. Cora B. Thompson of Westfield, N. Y.
Private funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Hildinger funeral home, Rev. Henry Lewis of St. Andrew's Episcopal church will officiate. The body will be cremated.
