Radiant Heating For Houses Coming Soon, Says Bennett
Radiant Heating For Houses Coming Soon, Says Bennett
At present there is much interest among prospective home builders in radiant heating, Wells I. Bennett, dean of the College of Architecture and Design at the University, declared today.
Radiant heating will permit the removal of radiators and registers as the heat will come through the floor, measurably increasing the amount of cleanliness possible, Bennett said.
Such a heating system probably will cost less to install in a new home and most likely will be cheaper to operate than other types of heating, he added.
The dean suggested that radiant heating was but one of many improvements which would be available very soon. "For instance,” he said, "a $10,000 house can have within a year or so an electronics device to open the garage door."
