Mrs. W. J. LaCoe Dies At 43 Years

Illness Fatal To Wife Of Garage Manager

Mrs. Elsa M. LaCoe, 43 years old, wife of Wendell J. LaCoe, 511 Pauline Blvd., died yesterday afternoon in St. Joseph’s Mercy hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. LaCoe was born Sept. 17, 1903, in Munith, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward R. Carley. After her graduation from Michigan State Normal College in 1923, she taught school for two years and then entered the University nursing school, from which she was graduated in 1928. She was married to Mr. LaCoe on Aug. 2, 1930.
Mrs. LaCoe was a member of the First Methodist church and the Washtenaw Country Club. Mr. LaCoe is manager of the Huron Motor Sales.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Stephen; a daughter, Suzann; her mother, Mrs. Carley of Munith; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Smith of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Wesley Moeckel of Munith; and her grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Walz of Munith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the First Methodist church, Rev.. J. Brett Kenna officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Staffan-Hildinger funeral home.
