Mrs. Mary E. Davis
Mrs. Mary E. Davis, 81, of 810 S. Main St., died Sunday morning in University Hospital after a short illness.
She was born April 3, 1882, in Macomb County, a daughter of George and Mary Trombley. She was married to George A. Davis on Jan. 10, 1878, and he died on Oct. 4, 1955. She had lived in Ann Arbor for the past 41 years.
She is survived by four sons, Arthur of Brooklyn, Mich., Edward of Ypsilanti, and Louis and Lloyd, both of Ann Arbor; two daughters, Mrs. Marian Quackenbush and Mrs. Ida Warren, both of Ann Arbor; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Frank Trombley of Ann Arbor; and several nieces and nephews. Two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Burns and Mrs. Charlotte Martin, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. James C. Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
