Mrs. George G. Cameron of 1515 Ottawa was on the campus of Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., this weekend to participate in a ceremony establishing a memorial to her father, the late Laird Bell, a Chicago attorney.
An oak tree was planted on the campus to commemorate Bell’s service to Carleton. Mrs. Cameron is a trustee of the college. The family has been represented almost uninterruptedly since 1883 on the college’s board of trustees.
