Webster, Norman B.
Age 89, died Thursday, September 19, 1996 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born on July 6, 1907 in Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to the U.S. with his family seven years later. In 1929 he married Lois Pischke, they spent their married life together in California until she died in 1988. He bought and sold real estate in different regions of California until they moved to Southern California where be became a potter and also opened a gallery with his wife. He moved to Michigan in 1992. His son Daren Webster, an Air Force pilot, died in a plane crash in 1992 at age 29. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Knudsvig of Ann Arbor; four grandchildren, D'Ann Nash and Darren Webster of Oregon, Anna Lisa and Matthew Knudsvig of Ann Arbor; and seven great-grandchildren all of Oregon. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at the Chapel of the Chelsea Retirement Community on Sunday, September 22, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Individualized Home Nursing Care Hospice or to the Memorial Fund of the Lutheran Campus Ministry at University of Michigan, 801 South Forest, Ann Arbor, 48105.
