Marchers, warmly bundled up for the crisp January temperatures, started at the Washtenaw County Court building, and in the top picture, were walking along Main Street, near Miller. The march continued along Miller, in the bottom picture, and ended at the church, at 850 Red Oak, in the picture at left. A memorial and rededication service was held at the church, with the theme of the service being "Toward Fulfilling the Dream."

PRESENTS PORTRAIT: Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice John R. Dethmers (left) presented portrait of Secretary of the Army Wilber M. Brucker to the University Law School at ceremonies here yesterday. Secretary Brucker (right), who received his bachelor of laws degree from the U-M in 1916, and Mrs. Brucker look on. The portrait was painted by Roy Gamble, a Detroit artist. Brucker served as Saginaw county prosecuting attorney, 1923-1926; Michigan's attorney general from 1928-30; governor from 1931-32; and was named secretary of the Army in 1955.

Model Shows Playground Plans: This model showing how the expanded Summit St. Playground is proposed to look after Lansky's junk yard is relocated is currently on display at the Ann Arbor Community Center. A public presentation of the plans for the park will be held at tomorrow's Model Cities Policy Board meeting and at Monday's City Council meeting. The playground is presently .75-of-an-acre in size and will be expanded to a total of two acres. The model shows a sports activities area at bottom, a basketball court, and a handball court at upper left. The area to the right of the handball court will be for picnicking and other less active recreation. In the center is a fountain, while at lower right is a shelter adjacent to a playfield for small children.

NEW PARK SHELTER: Ann Arbor's newest park shelter should be completed in two to three weeks. It is the Summit St. shelter at the Summit playground in north-central Ann Arbor. The shelter, being built at a cost of $6,288, is in the north-west corner of the 200-130-foot playground that is bounded by Depot and E. Summit St., N. Fourth Ave. and the Peters Sausage Co. It will have toilets, a storage room and open space under a roof that can be enclosed during the winter to serve as a warming room of ice skaters.
