Death Of Two Pioneers

On Monday, Oliver L. Warner died suddenly of heart disease at his home in the township of Pittsfield. He was 77 years and 4 months of age and had been a resident of Washtenaw county since 1837, coming here from the state of New York, where he was born. Mr. Warner was well known as an industrious and enterprising farmer. He cleared up the farm on which he died and made it his home for nearly half a century. He leaves a widow and four children: S. C. Warner, of Lodi; Mrs. Mary E. Hill, of this city; Mrs. George Sperry, of Pittsfield; and L. C. Warner, who resides on the old homestead in Pittsfield. The funeral was held at the house, Wednesday morning, and was largely attended. Francis A. Randall died on Friday last at his home on Spring street, aged 79 years. Mr. Randall ,was stricken down by paralysis a short time ago, from which his death resulted. He had lived in Ann Arbor about forty years and during the greater portion of that time had followed his trade, that of a carriage trimmer and carriage painter. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon.
