At a special meeting of Ann Arbor Typographical Union, on Saturday vening, the following preamble and esolutions on the death of Michael F. Goetz were ordered to be drafted: Whereas, Death's dewy flnger cold, uJnly22, 1892, elosed the eyelids of ur beloved fellow-craftsnian and rotlier, Michael F. Goetz, in his last leep and summoned his gentle spirit, n the very dawn of a promising and seful life, to that haven of refugeand est in the mysterious bevond, and Wheieas, His gentle and unassumia, manner, his purity ot' thought and árpese, endeared hini to each and all f his assoeiates and made hiin an upiglit example of true and noble manood, spotless soul and stainless charcter; Therefore be it Reaolved, That we, the members of Vnn Arbor Typographical Union, No. 54, unite in expressing our sincere rief at so early a loss of so true and aitht' ui a friend, so agreeable a com)anion and so able and efficiënt a 'ellow-craftsman, feeling that the 'roof -reader of the Universe wlll ünd luit his proof has been set clean and hat he deserves the reward of the ure in heart, "forthey shall see God." Resolved, That the golden link thus udely severed from our chain of riendship and fraternity will leave an cliin? void e'en till we ourselves shall mve set our last type and sent uur nal lorm to press; that we extend our ruest sympathy to the bereaved irothers'and sisters of our departed rieml in this most trying atllictionand omáend thein to the boundless syinathy of Hini who knows all our woes nul pains.
