Clover seed is turning out better than was expected. Fred Andrés, of Ann Arbor, spent Sunday at his home here. Quite a few of our Dexter pie went to tne Chelsea fair last week and say it was very good. Mr. O'Donnell spoke to a wellfilled house Saturday evening, on the issues of the coming campaign. Mrs. Mary Becker, of this place, has purchased the house next to the skating rink of Wm. Andrés for $I,IOO. John Speigelberg leavesfor Cleveland, Ohio, next Thursday, where he intends to find employment for this winter. John Hanzelman, employed in Alger's meat market, left for Detroit last week, where he expects to find work again. Hon. Jerome W. Turner, of Owosso, made a speech on the issues of the campaign at the Dexter opera house, Wednesday evening. Jacob Haas, of Lima, died Friday night of a tumor and was buried Tuesday, Oct. 18. Mr. Haas has been a resident of Lima for a long period. Last Sunday night the Y. P. A. club met at the Germán church near Kour Mile lake and elected John Schaufele as delégate to the convention at Nashville, in this state.
