Monroe, Oct. 5. - When one of the men at Foater's livery stable went to the hayloft Wednesday evening to feed his horses he dug out of the hay a large black satchel. He carried his find downstairs, and those who gathered around to investígate its contents were nearly paralyzeü with fear when, on opening the satchel, out rolled 20 sticks of dynamite, aggregating about 10 pounds of the terrible stuff, a quantity of f use, caps, matches, and everything necessary to its most approved and destructive use. There is considerable speculation as to how the satchel got there, some inclining to the opinión that it was lef t there by some telephonelineinen severa! nionths ago, while others shake their heads. and all turn pale at the thought of the awful destrnction an explosión would have wrought. the stable being in the heart of the city.
