Miss Lizzie Gerehty has taken a position at Eaton Rapids. Mrs. Sears and lady friend were Pinckney visitors Monday. A. Pidd spent Sunday and Monday with Ypsilanti friends. Ed. Farnham, of Pinckney, was here on business Thursday. J. Hosier and wife, of Plymouth, Mo., is visiting her mother. Fred Stabler, of Fosters, spent Wednesday with old friends. T. Phelps and wife called on Ann Arbor friends the past week. Geo. Reason sr., of Pinckney, was here on business Friday. Mrs. P. Lavey entertained her sister from Pinckney, Sunday. Mrs. Kimball has returned, after several weeks' stay in Wayne Co. George Smith hasopened a black - smith shop in the Arksey building. Mrs. M. Eagan has purchased a house and lot on Ann Arbor street. M. Cook and F. Nordman were in Ann Arbor on business last week. E. R. Doane has sold his farm in Dexter township to Saginaw parties. Mrs. Joseph Bowler and family are entertaining friends from abroad. E. H. Carpenter, of Petoskey, is spending a few days at his old home. Mrs. C. S. Gregory has been entertaining relatives from New York. Mrs. S. Curlett, of Scio, is soon to become a resident of our village. Torn James visited Ann Arbor Wednesday. Mrs. P. Seper was in Ann Arbor one day last week. Mrs. H. Carpenter entertained friends Wednesday. Miss May Lacey was the guest of Miss J. Harris last week. The Misses Guiñón entertained their friends last Wednesday. George Reane and sons were the guests of Ann Arbor friends recently. H. Butler is spending a few weeks at Wayne. P. A number froni here attended the fair at Stockbridge last week, also a large number attended the Chelsea fair this week. Mrs. Carrie Seper is attending the School of Music at Ann Arbor. E. Dickerson and family, of Oak Grove is visiting friends here. Miss Bertha Ferris is home after several weeks stay at Clyde. Eugene Sly had the misfortune to lose some of his fingers with a revolver. Mrs. R. Sleator has been at white city for a week. Mr. and Mrs. F. Nordman have taken up their home in Ann Arbor. Married Tuesday morning Oct. 10, 1893, at St. Joseph's church, Mr. John Walsh, of Webster, and Miss Ettie Foran of this place. They left on the afternoon train for the east. Mrs. B. Singleton, of Gregory, Mrs. H. Singleton and daughter Lelia, of Unadilla, Mrs. George Flintoft and son, of Pettysville, Mrs. R. Flintoft and family, of Emery, and Mrs. S. Taylor Sundayed with A. Taylor and family. Jacob Schaiberle died at his home in this village Saturday morning, aged 57 years. The funeral services were held in the Lutheran church Monday morning. Mrs. E. M. Fohey, of Pinckney, visited her mother the first of the week. Married Wednesday October 4, 1893, at St. Josephs church, Mr. Francis Lavey and Miss Mary Smith, both of this place. They wil 1 reside in the village. Misses Alice and Mamie McCabe entertained their friend Thursday and Friday. VV. Canlield, of Chelsea, was looking after old friends one day last week. Mr. Twitchell and chum, of Hamburg, spent several days of the past week with W. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Robins and daughter Jessie were with Webster on Sunday. Mrs. Tucker and daughter, of Wichita, Kansas, have been visiting her sister. Messrs. J. Gregory and Geo. Phelps are spending a few weeks at Arkansas City, Kas., and Hastings, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. E. Jedele have been doing the World's Fair the past few days. John Schaiberle, of Ann Arbor, was called here to attend his brother's funeral Monday. Mrs. Chas. Conrad died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Chas. Stebbins last Friday morning after a short illness. She was in her 59th year of her age. The funeral services were held at Ypsilanti Sunday afternoon. Mr. Williams and family of Aun Arbor now occupy part of Mr. Birketts residente. Mr. and Mrs. B. Lynch and daughter, of Pidckney, spent Sunday with her sister. Mr. and Mrs. Heininger and family, of Four Mile Lake, spent Sunday with her sister. Mr. Scholtz and wife, of North Lake, spent Sunday with friends in this place.
