IÖHPEMINQ, Oct. 9. - Peter Johnson, a miner, nged 28, employed at the Salisbury urine, this city, was killed Saturday night. He aud two others were eiigaged in blasting ore with dynamite, Johnson took charge of setting the fuse, but did not secrete himself in time. He left a widow and two chüdren. Consul Roosevelt of Brussels, says that carg-oes of horse beef f rom New York city are shipped to that country f or the joor_ jjeople.
