Bullis attended the meeting of the 2oth Michigan Iafantry in Jackson this week. Mrs I. N. Demmon gave a reception yesterday afternoon in honor of Mrs Mark W. Harrington. Gilbert Pitkin, of Petrolia, Ont., spent Sunday and Monday with his mother, Mrs. Tulia A. Pitkin. Mrs. Hudson has issued invitation for a reception at her home on Washtenaw ave., tomorrow evening. Miss Susie Barringer, who has been visiting Mrs. David Frederick, returned to her home in Evanston, 111. Mr. and Mrs. George Alexander, of Grayling, were the guests of Mrs. Carrie M. Stone the first of the week. Hon. Charles H. Kline returned f rom Washington Friday. While there he feil in the hands of the interviewer. Mr. and Mrs. Gust. Ehnis and two daughters, Misses Laura and Susie, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Frederick, have returned to their home in Clarion, Mich. Herman Hardinghaus returned Friday from Germany,after a stormy voyage. He is looking extremely well and reports the greatest interest being taken in Germany in the repeal of the Sherman bill.
