A big saving has been affected in the cost of lighting by the council which was recently abused in the pulpits of the city. The Electric Light company have just notiñed the city that they have accepted the offer of $73 a light for lighting the city. The contract is dated back to March i. The price paid the past year was #81 a light. This affects a saving of ten per cent. in the cost of lighting.
