John Jewel's new barn is nearly ünished. It is quite an ornament to the place. Mrs. Judith Dickerson, who has been on the sick list tor a long time, is not much better. Willis can now boast of a long needed enterprise in the shape of a lumber yard. It is managed and owned by Mr. Honeywell. Mr. Fred Roberts, of Sumpter, and "Miss Emnia Burns. of VanBuren, were united in matrimony by the Rev. Mr. Stratten May lst. They have commenced house-keeping on the farm wbich Mr. Roberts recently bought. We are glad to hear that the Rev. Hr. Dapois is getting better. Mr. Durpots was pastor of the M. E. church at ihis place for the two previeras years. Last fall conference appointed him to take charge of a church in the suburbs ■rf Detroit, but he bas been too ill to il! the appointment. -For two months ie as been ully resigned to die and expressed bis desire to be brought back to Willis for burial. The latest report is that he will get out agaiu and the people of this vicinity hail the good news with joy, for he was well liked bere.
