Prospects for an apple erop are good. The late heavy rains have delayec farmers in their wórk. John Gage has a grocery at the Junction. It is quite handy forcountrj people at times. ■Spring term of school in this district (No. 3) is taught by Miss Jennie McArthur, of Ann Arbor. John Cubit, who died of Cancel April 25th, in the 38th year of bis age, yas a resident of this township all bis life. He was buried in Pittsfield cemetery. Pittsfield Union Sunday school, al Roberts school house. mettt at 4 p. m. each Suuday, under the Superïntendancy of Deacon Canfleld. Quite a lai'ge number attend every Sunday.
