Mrs. Annie Ward Foster was in Detroit yesterday. Miss Lettie Miller, of Detroit, is visiting Emma Kemper. Orange Webster, of Cadillac, is the guest of B. F. Watts. Postmaster Carpenter, of Ypsilanti, was in the city today. E. B. Hall and John Travis visited Silver Lake, Wednesday. Maj. George Winans, of Hamburg, was in the city, Tuesday. F. P. Bogardus, Esq., of Ypsianti, was in the city yesterday. Prof. Herman Zeitz goes to Detroit to attend a concert this evening. Mrs. J. O. Jenkins is spending two weeks with her parents in Jackson. Mrs. Ed. Jacobus attended the funeral of her father in Grand Rapids this week. E. B. Gidley, of Grand Rapids, is in the city, a witness in a case in the circuit court. Mr. Gidley is shaking hands with old friends. In spite of his advancing years he looks as young as he did twenty years ago.
