Springfield, Oct. 1. - ïhi' ssate fair has ended af tor the most successful wook ever experienced. ïhe attendanco on the last day was 15,000. The attendance for the week will aggregate 190,000. The were t50,000, more than clearing expenses. The feature of the day was the grand bicycle tournament - eightr entries and ten races. The principal races were won as foüows: Mllo novice, W. S. Miller, Chicago; half inilo open, W. DeCardy, Chicago; 1 mile open, $150 diamoïic! ring, E. W. Baïlard. Chicago; 3-mile handicap, C. S. Batchelder, Decatur; }i-inile open, C. W. Davis, Chicago; mile handicap, Will Kvans, Lansing, Mich.; 2-niile handicap, M. R. Thorpe; onu-mile, P. W. Kllnger, Terre Haute, Ind.; % mile opon, J. W. Coöurn, St. Louis.
