The merabers of the gymnasium classes were given physical examinations, Saturday. The Lyceum not having a quorum last Friday night, will give the same program this week. F. C. Condón was chosen baseball captain, Tuesday, by the board of directors of the Athletic association. Supt. Perry's office is now open fifteen minutes earlier in the morning, owing to the recent change of the.forenoon session. The High School eleven will play the Detroit high school, at the fair grounds, tomorrow afU-rnoon at 2:30. Admission 25 cents. The question for debate by the Arena tonight is, "Resolved, that part of the U. S. revenue should be raised by an incometax." Affïrm ative, Englehart, Brugely; negative, Juttner, Hendrick. The football team met the Normals, Saturday morning, and defèated them by a score of 12 to 10. Thirty minute halves were played. The game was called at 10:10. In one minute Duffy made the first touchdown by a 75 yard run. Fuller kicked goal. The Normals scored in eight minutes, Churchill kicking goal. Captain Jerells had his collar bone broken in attempting to stop a rush. Foley took his place. Wise was ruled out for puliing hair. It was not the first time he had done this. The only way he made a gain was by unfair playing. Palmer took his place. Stocking made the second touchdown for the High School. Fuller kicked goal. The first half closed with the ball on the Normals' 2-yard line. Score 12 to 6. In the second half the Normals made the only touchdown, but Churchill failed on goal. Bach was hurt, and Green took his place. Time was called for the gaitne with the ball on the Normals' 40-yard line. The final score was: High School, 12; Normal, 10. The Normal team average nearly twenty pounds more than the High School, but do not play as scientific ball. Duffy, Neal and Stocking made the greatest gains. For the Normals, Churchill, Lawrence and Palmer did the best playing. Too much credit cannot be given the High School eleven for the way in which they played. It is plainly seen that Captain Duffy has made good use of the material, and 1 under his training one of the strong est teams the High School ever had has been developed. The following was the line up of the teams: High School - Crow, center; Jones, right guard; S. Neal, left guard; Rich mond, right tackle; Stocking, left tackle; Bach, right end; T. Neal, left end; Marshall, quarter back; Fuller, left half; Anderson, right half; Duffy (Capt.), full back. Normal - Diarmid, center; Davis, right guard; Norton, left guard; Calkins, right tackle; Lawrence, left tackle; Capt. Jerells, right end; Livingston, left end; Waters, quarter back; Leland, left half; Wise, right half; Churchill, full back. Umpire, Green; referee. Norris; lineman, Corbusier; time-keeper, Brown.
