Washington, Aug. 8.- Rear Adtuiral Daniel Amrcen, retired, while on a vialt to the navy departmenfc, was prostrated by an attack of vértigo, superinduced by the excessive heat. He was treaíed temporarüy by Surgeon General Tyron in his office and then sent to his home at Ammendale, Md., accompanied by Assiatant Surgeon Guest. The attack is believed to be serious in view of the advaneed age o( the admiral.
