Freddia and Haunah Rehfuss, of Ann -Arbor, made their old friends and sohoolmates a pleasant visit last week. Clarence W. Taylor, of Dnluth, Minn., who is attending the U. of M., spent his vaoation with friends and relatives in town. A gloom was cast over the village last week Tuesday morning npon hearing of the death of Mrs. Deborah Morgan, the oldest resident of the village. In the year 1832 she married Thomas Morgan, at Mendon, N. Y., resided iu Ricbmond, N. Y., until 1835, when Mr. and Mrs. Morgan located at Manchester, having purchased the eastern half of the village, erecting the first frame building in Manchester. In 1862 they went to Milton Junotion, Wis., bnt a fire in 1872 destroyed their home and they retnrned to Manchester. Mrs. Morgan was in her 84th year, and survived her husband and two danghters, Mrs. Vandergift and Mrs. Wallace, both of Manohester. She was a faithful member of the Universalist ohurch, was well known and leaves many endearing friends who mourn her loss.
