The socia was given by the members of the Morgan Methodist Episcopal church, and every thing went srnoothly until the young la dies present attempted to use two hand some American flags to decórate th room. The two Englishmen, Story anc Clifford, stepped forward and snatohei the flags from the young ladies and be gan to wipe their feet on them. Th other guests present were filled wiih in dignation and patriotism at seeing th old flag insulted, and had not the offenci ers realized what they had done and apo' ogized immediately thera would hav been a row in which two Englishmen would have suffered at the hands of th righteously lndignant Methodists.
