Clarion, Mich., Oct. 22. - A free silver rally with great enthusiasm was held here tonight. The people from the Burrountling country turnee! out en masse to hear A. D. Creukshank oí Charlevoix talk on the absorblng question. The McKinley club was well represented at the opening of the speech, but when the speaker laid down facts that could not be denied, and produced evidence to verify nis statements, down went gold hats, buttons, tin cans and badges upon the floor. They were trampled upon, and cheer after cheer was given for Bryan and free silver. The speaker at no time indulged in any langtiage that the most critical could take exceptions to, and the cleanness of the argument was commented upon by all. At the close of the meeting about twenty of t%-3 oldline Republicans followed the example of their Boyne City brothers, and declared themselves for free silver and better times.
