A Successful Operation
Chas. H. Pulver went to Ann Arbor, Honday, accompanied by Dr. Haynes, and exhibited bis leg before the medical olass at the Dniversity. His leg wás operated npon abont two years ago by Dr Nancrede and' considerable decayed bone removed below the knee, and the cavity filled with bone ohips. The ohips have beoome good bone. Previons to the above operation Dr. Nancrede was called to Dundee to per'orm an amputation of the leg. but ad' vised against the operation at the tiine, or at least nntil after a trial of his proposed treatmeut. The Dr. Monday prononnced his operation a most suocessful oue and he took pride in exhibiting the leg and explaimug the operation to the students. Mr. Palver's leg has beoome quite strong and most of the time he is able to walk without
