About Catching Fish

3 To those who tbink they have a rigbt to catch fisb in whatever inanner they choose, the following inforination may be of benefit: Since the fisb and game law of 1893 was declared unoonstitutional by tbe snpreme court, iü bas been supposed by ïnany that the entire law regarding the spearing of fish in inland lakes was void. But a late opinión of the Attorney General declares that the law of 1891 is still in force and that it is unlawful for anyone to catch or kill any fisb in any inland lake exoept with hook and line. A person found upon the waters of any lake witb spear, net, trap net, eet line, artificial light, dynainite, powder or anythiug explosive, shall be deerued prima facie evidence of a violation of the law, and on conviction may be fined $25 or imprisonment for 80 days.
