A grand celebration of Emancipation day will be held this year in Ypsilanti Monday, Tnesday and Wednesday, August 2, 3, and 4, uuder the auspioes of Eureka Lodge, No. 2, K. of P. of the Eastern and Western Heuiispheres, and Mary Magdalene Court of Calantue, No. 1. The celebration will be beld Monday, August 2, and Tnesday and Wedaesday will be devoted to the anuual sessions of the Michigan Grand Lodge, K. of P., E. and W. H., and the Grand Auxiliary Court of Calanthe, at which the following lodges and courts will be represeuted: Trinity Lodge, No. 1, Detroit; Eureka, No. 2, Ypsilanti; Lnoullus, No. 4, Ann Arbor; Jackson, No. 5, Jackson ; Kalamazoo, No. 6, Kalamazoo; Sidney, No. 7, Adrián; Lansing, No. 8, Lansing; Mary Magdalene Court,. No. 1, Ypsilanti; DamoD, No. 2, Detroit; Queen Esther, No. 3, Ann Arbor; Silver Leaf, No. 4, Jackson ; Rebecca, No. 5, Adrián; Ruby, No. 6, Lansillö- On Monday the program of the celebration includes an address of ■svelcorue by Mayor Harding, and speeches by 3. P. Kirk, F. A. Mercbant, and J. F. Webb, of Ypsilauti, H. T. Tolliver, of Detroit, and Chaplain C. A. Carter. Two bands, including the fauious Toledo Cornet Band, will fnrnish the mnsic. Games and sports will follow and in the eveuing a grand reception and ball will be hald in Light Guard hall. The railroads offer exonrsion rates to Ypsilanti on those dates, and already the local comruittees are assured of a large attendanoe.
