Chicago, July 13. - There appears to be a manía among Chicagoans to kill themselves. Five persons have committed suicide within the past twentyfour hours. Among them were two young men of considerable prominence in the city. The latter are Leroy Rogers, 22 years old, secretary of the Nickel Píate Stove Polish company, and Sheridan F. Mason, 24 years old, son of "William A. Mason, 303 Schiller street. The former threw himself from the teamer Virginia and the latter killed himself with a revolver in his father's office, in the New York Life Insurance building.
