Ordained Their Minister

Rev. G. E. Morehouse, pastor of tbe Webster CoDgregational chnrob, was ordaiued to tbe ministry, in that ohuroh on Tuesday of last week. A conncil bad been aalled, inviting tbe following cburobes; Ypsilanti, Aun Arbor, Dexter, Cbelsea, Graes Lake and Pinokney, to be represented by pastor and delégate and all responded. Kev. .T. S. Edmnnds, of Cheleea, was made moderator, Rev. C. S. Jones ,scribe. After the candidate had stated nis reJigions experiences and belief aod nad snstained a qnestioning froru tbe several members of the oonncil, that body tired and tinanimously voted to proceed with the ordiüation. At 7 p. m., Rev. J. J. Staley offered the invooatioD ; Rev. I. J. CoQk read the scriptnre lesson ; Rev. J. G. Haigh preaobed the ordination sermón; Revs. .T. V. Bradshaw, of Ann Arbor, J. S. Edrnands, of Chelsea, and W. O. Allen, of Pontiac, performed the rite of laying on of hands; Rev. C. S. Jones offered the right haud of fellowship; Rev. J. W. Bradshaw delivered the charge to the pastor, and Rev. W. O. Allen, a former pastor of the Webster cburoh, gave the oharge to the people. The benediotion at the close of the meeting was prononnced by the newly made minister. P. D. Armour's large ice house at Wihtmore Lake will cost $25,000. Mrs. Henry E. Beard, wife of Pólice Captain Beard, of Jackson, died Moulady of cáncer trouble. The deceased day v?as formerly a resident of Ypsilanti.
