Rochester, N. Y., Dec. 21.- There is a big strike on the Erie canal on section 7 ainong the Italians employed on the work. Two hundred Italians refused to work for 124 cents an hour, and, strating at Crane Brook, just east of Montezuma, ordered every man out of the canal. If the men refused, they threatened to kill them. Five hundred were thus forced out. Serious trouble Is expected.
