The Red Ribbon State Central Comriiitteo met here on the 22d, R. E. Frazer, jf Ann Arbor, chairmaa ; J. C. Bontecou, :f Jackson; Watson Snyder, of Ypsilanti; Z. Chase, of Flint; and L. Fisher of Three [livers, being present. Capt. Bonteoou was elected aeoretary. The following petition was adopted for circulation in the 3iate : ro the Honorable, the Legislatura of the State i Michigan: We, the undersigned, being citizens of ind voters in the State of Michigan, do hercby petition the Honorable, the Senate ml House of Representativas, to subruit lo the people for ratification or rejection, at the Spring election in an amendment to the Constitution, as nearly as pos ii', ■ self operative in terms, and prohtbitng, under sufficient penalties, the manufacture and sale of alcoholic, malt and vin 11- liquorH, ezcept for mechanical, medicinal and sacramental purposes, under proper rcgulations. Messrs. D. P. Sagendorph, Charlotte ; W. T. Mitchell, Port Huron; G. W. McBride, Grand Haven; R. E. Phinney, Monroe; Byron M. Cutcheon, Manistee, ind C. C. Ellsworth, Greenville, were p[lointed a committe to draft the proposed onstitutional amendment which, when approved by the Central Committee, will bc pulilished as the basis of opcration. Each sember of the committee was made re ipoosible for the organizatioo of his own listrict, which will be thorough, au it is expected that an organization will be eftected in every school district, and that every persoo in the State has an opportunity to aga the above petition to the Legislatura. The nezt meeting will be held ia Jackaon, February 24'h.
