Cooper's force of 4,000, angmentecl by Cabellé Arkansas brigade of 2,500, and Strong and Bailey's Texas brigade, ol about 500 - in all, about 12,500 and ten pieces of artillery. The Union iorce here is but 2iG0Ö efficiënt men. The Thirteenth Kansas Infantry and a battallion of the Sixlh Kansas" Cavalry, in all eight hundred men, are tnaking forced marches from Fort Scott and are espected here Thursday.
