Fort Kearncy, August 23. Alaj. Gen. Curtís arrived liere to day to straighten up tho Indian Affairs. The Overland Stago Company has removed all its agents, stock and coachos to this post for protection. There is not a white inhabitant betwcen here and Denver. All have fled to poste for protection. The country around Denver is swarming with hostile Indians, and the road between hero and Omaha is almost eutirelv dcscrted by whites, cxcept at two fortified posts. Uolumbus and Fort Curtis. Gen. Curtis had a conference with the chiefs of the Pawnee tribes, who agreed to assist him fighliug the hostile Iudians. Thero hns been no exaggeration in tho telegraphic news from this country about the Indians. It is asserted that Gen. Grant bas at no timo had so much difficulty with Cicü. Lee in tho present cnmpnign, as he has had every step of tho way with tho War Def artmsnt.
