The hope of a war belwoen Frunce and the United States appoars to be the basis of their satisfaction. I have heard it said that the árdeles in London and Pnris journals, trying to urge on a war nbout Mexico, is only part of the genend schema airong Ihe rebels and their friends abroad, to givo the Confedoracy another ehnnee for life. Thus the ast ditch ia to be Mexico, with Dr. Gwiu on the Rio Grande. With aueh a oombination of talent, you may be sure thut, if there be any chance for stirriog up war about Mexico, t will be douo.
