J. C. Watts returned home (rom East Saginaw, Saturdiiy eveuing, on a visit to lii family in his city. A very able and interesting discourse was delivered by Prof. D'Ooge, Sunday morning in the Presbyterian Ohurcli. J. A. Bayloss, of Lee's Summit, Mo., brotherin-law of E. B. Pond, arrived in this city WedneBday, on a visit to his friends. J udge Cooley was made a member of the Kent Chapter of the Phi Delta Phi Fraternity, at their meeting Wednesday evening. Jas. L. Mitchell, of Lima, has returned from his visit to California, and has been spending a few days in town this week. Agent Sharpless has had everything put in first-class order around the depot, gives general satisfaction, and is reported to be " business." Eev. Dr. Stebbina, who has been oceupying the pulpit of the Unitarian church for the past tour Sundays, delivered his final discourse Sunday evening, to a large audience. Hon. Henry W. Rogers and wife, and J. Austin Scott and wife left for Jacksonvüle, Florida, Tuesday morning. They have agreed to f urnish the Akgus with items of their journey from time to time. (learge L.
