The Agricultural Society

-Ad journed meeting of the Executive Committee of the Washtenaw Couuty Agricultural and Horticlutural Society waa held at the Court House on Saturday last, and considerable business transacted. It was voted to hold the next anuual fair on the grounda in thia city, on Tueaday, Wednesday, Thuraday, and Friday,- Sept. 26, 27, 28, and 29,- the last day to be given exclusively to the horae interest. Mesara. W. H. Lewis, L. C. Risdon, A. V. Robison, John Koch, and Frederick Hutzel, were appointed a committee to raise f 1,000 for special horse premiums. John B. Dow, of thia city, was appointed Superintendent of the grounda during the fair, and John S. Nowland, Marshal. The Businesa Committee consista of llenara. C. H. Richmoud, Ann Arbor; George A. Petera, Scio ; D. L. Godfrey, Ann Arbor town ; J. J. Far8hall, Ann Arbor ; and J. S. Heuderson, Pittsfield. The President, Secretary, Treasurer, J. G. Leiumi, and H. Laraway, were appointed a special committee to evise the premium lista. As soon as they have completed the worlc another meeting of the Êxecutive Committee will be held, the list acted upon, and the department superiutendents and committees ou premium awards appointed. It is the declai ed iuteutiou of the officers to make the next fair a success.
