Baltimore, Feb. 11. - Dr. Lewis H, Heener, State Senator from Frederick County, a distinguished physician and chief inspector of the Sanitary Commission in the Army of the Potomac during the war, examined the body hortly after found, and gave the folowing as his theory of the cause of eath : " Mr. Johnson either stuinbled Ter a piece of coa], or, being geized with vértigo or incipient symptoms of apoplexy, and endeavoring to save himelf, moved towardg the west, staggerng along by the northerly side of the Cxecutive Mansion, at each step his ody gained additional momentuin, so bat having reached the door leading to the basement he swayed around to the south and feil, his head striking against a sharp corner of the granite base of the house, which gave the wound on the head. Keaching the puvement of rough cobble itones a second wound was received in front of the iirst. At this instant probably the bonen of the nose were fractured, and one joint of the second finger of the ight hand was dislooated. Whether his ubsequent struggles may account for he abrasions on the kneus and finger of the left hand cannot be positively asserted. The wounds in the scalp are accompanied with fractures of the exernal bonos of the cranium (the base of the skull), also with a possible rupure of some of the arteries at the base. )eiitli must have resulted instan tly.
