The Ontonagon Miver has the following referring to silver mines of that country : An assessment of thirty centi a abure has been called upon the capital stock of the Cleveland Silver Miuing Gom pany. The Ceutennial Silver Mining Company is the name of a new organization. The Cleveland Mine Company has levied another aesessment of thirty cents per share for the purpose of pushing the opening of the mine. This, willi the ten thousand dollars already raised, will carry the mine work along to a j)otnt which will demónstrate to its owners its value, or worthlessuess, and enable them to present their mint to the attention of capitalists for the purpose of raisiug sufficient capital to open and oquip it for work. As we noticed last week a reduction of the surface forcé has taken place at the Collins mine, four men having been discharged as their services were not needod auy more for the preBent. The mining forcé continúes the same. The vein rock at this point as well as a part of the hanging wall is is very rich in silver, fully as rich if not richer than that reported last week in the Cleveland mine adjoining. Samples brought to town show quite heavy scales and sheets of the bright, glistening nativo silvur.
