There has been a gravediggers' strike at Liverpool. It seema that the Burial Board lately refused a demand msde by their gravediggers for shorter hours. This refusal led to the men striking work. Since then violence has been used toward one or two of the new gravediggers engaged to replace the others. There is something alarming in the prospect of a general strike of gravediggers. Even the warraest advocates of cremation can hiirdly view without anxioty the sudden stoppage of the present mode of sepultare.
