The Reform Club of Dexter dedicated a new hall on Weduesday evening of last week, and had an enjoyable time. There was music by the Band and choir, prayer by Rev. Eev. Mr. Wortley, aolos by Miss Anna Waruer and Geo. W. Smith, and an excellent address by Judge Cheever, oi this city. After the address, in behalf of " friends " Mr. Wortley presented to the leader of the Band, Mr. B. J. Sutton, a magniüoent silver plated and gold mounted Cornet. A tasty copy of the pledge, in " spatter work," in a framo 27x3i inohes, was presentad to the Club, by Mra. Sutton, President of the White Hibbou Club. - D. Allen, Ejq., of Rochester, N. Y., will ecture before the Reform Club on Tuesday evening next- Sept. 11- in the Opera House. He is reputed au &ble and eloquent speaker. The house should be filled. Admission 5 cents - R. E. Frazer, Eaq., had a larga audienee at tha meeting of the Reform Club on Sünday afternoon last, and gave his hearers an intere8tiug address,- one full of matter to think of - J. W. Andrews, of Detroit, a prominent worker in the reform moveinent, will address the üpera House meeting on Sunday after noon at 3 o'clock. Turn out and hear him. - Chas. Boylan and H. E. Ash went to Delhi last Sunday evening and addressed the Reform Club of that place. Deatd's Doings.- Francia D. Stagg, of this city, died at hia residence on East University avenue on Friday last, Aug. 31, aged 66' years. His funeral was attended on Sunday afternoon, the Masons, of which order he waa a member, turning out in a body. - Horace Booth, formerly of Lodi, in which township he aettled in 1S26, died at the residence of his sou Jielson, in Pittsfield, on Monday last, aged 76 yeara. The old inhabitauts of tlas city and vicinity will bear testimouy to hia integrity and worth. - Charles H. Wallace, tor many years a resident of Saline, and one of its best known and most highly esteemed citizena and business men, but who Iately removed to Ypsilauti, died on the 29th uit., aged 65 years on the Uth day of February last. Mr. Wallace was bom in Orango County, Vermont, and carne to Michigan, aíter living during his earlier years in Livingston County, N. Y., in 1831, settling on the Chicago road west of Saline. Mr. W. had held many official positions, the intelligent discharge of the duties of which had given him a general acquaiutance throughout the county. He leaves a widow (his second wife) and two married daughters, with whom a large circle of frienda sympathize in their bereavement. - Nelson Benham, a resident of this city 8iuco 1838, with the exceptauce of a few years, and once Iandlord of the old Washtenaw House, in the Fifth ward, died on the 4th inst., aged about77 years.
