We foei somewhat enthnsiastic ovor the assuranoe of the continuation of the Toledo and Aan Arbor Eailroad to Pontiao. When the projoot was first mooted, conservativo gentlemen shrugged their shouldore; stiugy men said the money eould not bo raised; bat thanks toa faw publio spirited gentlemen, Messrs. Jaujas B. Gott, Henry C. Waldron, A. W. Harailton, Col. Dean, H. 8. Dean and others, the amonnt required from Ann Arbor has been plcdged. Tho building of the road will soon be commenced, giving omployment to a largo somber of men, and an Ímpetus to all land of business carrled on in the city. At the adjourned meeting held on Friday evening chairmau öott called npon those gentlemen who had eaoh plodged to raise $100 to report. Tho reporta were as follows, souie of them not showing the exact amount raised by each, but merely that their pledges had been made full - f 100 at least: Joe T. Jaoobs, $140; Henry Krause, IflCO Herman Hutzel, $123 ; De Witt Fall, full; LoonardVaughan, full; A. L. Noble, full ; Edward Treadwell, $100; Jamos B. Gott, $195; or real ly, $295, as he raised Mr. Treadwell's amount; A. W. Hamilton,, S. Dean, and H. S. Dean, over $700, the amouutpledgedbythem. Thusthe$15 000 has been more than raiaecj, and Ann Arbor has subaeribed her quota to the amount neceBsary to secure the road.
