AssüSapr appfoVal of'íhe June 14 bond issue, plans for additions and renovations to six elementary and junior high school buildings to be completed during the 1971-72 school year were presented last night to the Ann Arbor Board of Education. Schematic plans for additions to Stone and Tappan were presented by Colvin, Robinson and Wright, architectural firm. Plans for additions to Carpenter, Dixboro, and renovations to Forsythe were by Lane, Riebe and Weiland, architect ; and an addition to Pittsfield School was presented 'T) y K M M Associates, Inc. These plans were presented to determine the basic size and area relationships of the building projects. o o - Board members were reminded that Senior High graduation will be held Thursday, June 10. Banquets for both Huron and Pioneer Seniors will be held June 8. o o Ann Arbor Education Association President Albert Chaffee asked for a special privilege to address the board at i his last meeting with them as president of the AAEA. Chaffee thanked them for their exchanges with him I ing the past year and said, "I respect and admire your zeal, dedication and integrity and I urge you to press harder for more definite roles for the board and the administration." According to the out-going AAEA president, the organization endorsed the millage and bonding proposals but feit that the board should have asked for more to restore the cuts in last year's program. He also referred to the dismissal of the 256 probationary teachers as an "indefensibie action."
