A People-To-People First
The national president of People-To-People will present a charter to the group's first youth chapter – the Musical Youth International Chapter, which is affiliated with the Ann Arbor Chapter – at a ceremony at 5:30 p.m. June 23 at the Ann Arbor Community Center. James Doty will also present pins to each member. Following the ceremony, MYI will give a pre-tour concert at Huron High School at 7:30 p.m. Two days later, the group will leave for Europe for five weeks of concerts in the organization's seventh year of ambassadorship through music. Mark Gage is the group's first president. Plans for the event will be discussed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the last monthly meeting of People To People until September in the Kiwanis Activities Center. Daniel Ling, who recently returned from a trip to the Far East to visit his daughter, will discuss his experiences there. On June 15, the Ann Arbor chapter will make a trip to Saginaw to participate in a dedication of a Japanese garden to the city by the Saginaw chapter.
