Making Change at Nickels - While Much of Ann Arbor's recent building projects feature the modern look, Nickels Arcade on State Street is being restored to its former style of some 50 years ago. The project, which involves design by Architects Four of Ann Arbor and construction work by the Phoenix Company of Ann Arbor Township, will require a total of six weeks' work. At left [this photo], atop a scaffold, Scott Mellinger (left) and Jim Austin attach new light fixtures, while Bill Towler (in hat) watches from the ground.
