Held in conjunction with Education Day of Michigan Week, the open house will be held for the public from 3:15 to 8 p.m. Featured at the event will be student art, science, mathematics and social studies exhibits. The machine operates on radioactive ytterbium-169 supplied by the U-M Phoenix (atoms-for-peace) Project from its Ford Nuclear Reactor.
