Village Man Killed In Crash
WILLOW VILLAGE - Richard D. O'Brien, 27, of 1399 Dana Ct., formerly of Detroit, was killed about 1 p.m. yesterday in a head-on collision on US-10, 24 miles north of Pontiac in Oakland county. He was born on May 26, 1926, in Ypsilanti, a son of Robert and Emma E. Bennett O'Brien. He was a veteran of World War II. He had been employed at Kaiser Motors Corp. until recently. He married Dorothy Lawrence in Detroit in July, 1950. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Sharon Joan; and two brothers, Robert of Willow Village and Charles Rankin of Milan. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Stevens & Bush Funeral Home, with the Rev. William R. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends may call after Sunday morning.
