YPSILANTI - Funeral services for Robert Stoddard, 17, of 406 Emerick St., Ypsilanti, who was killed last night in an automobile accident, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Moore Funeral Home. Robert was born Oct. 12, 1944, in Ypsilanti, a son of Layton and Mildred Tomford Stoddard. His father is financial secretary of United Auto Workers Local 849 in Ypsilanti. Robert was a junior at Ypsilanti High School, where he was a member of the Boys Glee Club. He was also a member of the Ypsilanti Boys Club and the Police Athletic Club. Surviving are his parents: maternal grandmother, Mrs. E. J. Tomford of Ypsilanti; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Henry Chemm of Saginaw; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stoddard of Ypsilanti; and several aunts and uncles. The Rev. Harley Sipe will officiate at the funeral services. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 7 p.m. today.
