ANN ARBOR DOG WINS FIRST PRIZE: This 11-month-old cocker spaniel, "Let's Play" won first place in the American bred black female class at the dog show sponsored by the Jaxon Kennel Club of Jackson. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Harold G. Ristine, 580 Allison Dr., Ann Arbor, the dog was shown by Don Webb of Ypsilanti (above), handler and trainer. Let's Play was sired by Rennard's First Chance of Plymouth, and her dam is Lady In Red VI, owned by the Ristines.

State Rd., has an eight-lactation period record of 4,288 pounds of butterfat, or an average of 536 pounds per year. The herd is one of 11 in the county that have been on test with the American Jersey Cattle Clubs herd improvement registry since its inception.

'PERK' MEETS 'DEXTER'--But "Dexter," the seven-week-old pet pig, seems somewhat disdainful and ignores the apparent friendliness of "Perk," week-old pet kid, who is happily snuggled in the arms of his little mistress, Beverley Stierle (left), of 1029 Woodbridge Blvd. Much interested in her pet's piggish antics is Julia Ross (right), of 616 W. Madison St. The girls, Bach school pupils, entered "Perk" and "Dexter" in the Bach school pet show which boasted 10 animal species. Mrs. Florence Hiscock was the teacher in charge.
